I have been SO blessed to work with two amazing young women this year. Marcie Smith and Shaila Gillis are gorgeous, intelligent, talented, and inspiring. Their work with their platforms is terrific and the past few months we have really enjoyed spending a lot of time together. I am so excited to watch them light up the Dover Downs stage once more tonight.

Prelim Night 2

Friday night is always difficult at the Miss Delaware Pageant. It is such a long week and so many of the girls are spent and tired, and although adrenaline will return for finals, it's tough to gauge your standing unless you've won a prelim award. Marcie and Shaila were wonderful in their talents last night and truly excelled in the gowns. I think the sky is the limit for them, top 10? Top 5?? They have worked so hard and no matter WHAT happens, I love them both dearly!

Last night Becky sang In His Eyes (YAY) and Junnie rocked the house with 14G! It was another great show.

Thank you Heather!

I just wanted to take a moment to personally thank Heather for being a wonderful Miss Delaware. Heather and I met more than three years ago while she was Miss Dover 2007. After I became Mr. Capital we made some appearances together and I will never forget working together at Jump, Jive, N Wail! She has grown leaps and bounds in the past few years and it has been such an honor to be a part of her journey. I am looking forward to her farewell tonight so I have the opportunity to celebrate her amazing year! All the best Heather, I love you!
